I've spent thirteen years as a software engineer. I led the design and delivery of a shared frontend platform at Asurion that several teams built their products on, kept a large e-commerce site standing at Zappos, and wrote web applications at Schneider Electric before either of those. I hold two GIAC security certifications, and at Asurion I was one of the people teams brought things to when something looked wrong.
The part I liked best was always mentoring — it taught me how to explain a technical thing without making anyone feel foolish. I recognize that you want to understand how your tech works, too, and I'll share with you anything you want to know in relatable terms.
